Does your moisturizer block your rosacea cream? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT06434519

Summary

This study aimed to find out if applying a moisturizer before a common rosacea cream (metronidazole) changes how well the medicine gets into the skin. Researchers tested this on 21 adults with rosacea by applying different moisturizer and cream combinations to their faces and then using a gentle tape to collect tiny skin samples for analysis. The goal was to gather scientific evidence for a common dermatology practice to see if it helps or hinders treatment.
