Does your moisturizer block your rosacea cream? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT06434519

Summary

This study aimed to find out if applying a moisturizer before a common rosacea cream (metronidazole) changes how well the medicine gets into the skin. Researchers tested this on 21 adults with rosacea by applying different moisturizer and medication combinations to their faces and then gently collecting tiny skin samples with tape at 1 and 4 hours. The goal was to gather scientific evidence to see if a common dermatologist recommendation is helpful or not.
