Summary

This study tests a modified version of sleeve gastrectomy (a common weight-loss surgery) to see if it can reduce acid reflux, a frequent side effect. About 44 adults with obesity and GERD will be randomly assigned to the standard or modified surgery. The main goal is to measure changes in acid exposure in the esophagus 6-9 months after surgery.
