First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested a smartphone app that helps people with slurred speech after a stroke practice speaking at home. 44 adults who had a stroke and had trouble speaking were randomly assigned to use the app right away or wait. The app aims to make speech clearer and improve how people feel about their communication. Results will show if app-based therapy works better than usual care.
