Phone tracking and peer coaches aim to cut veteran mental health crises

Summary

This study tests whether combining care coordination with passive mobile data monitoring and peer specialist support can reduce emergency visits and hospitalizations for veterans with serious mental illness. About 400 veterans who own smartphones and are at high risk for hospitalization will take part. The goal is to catch early signs of worsening illness and provide timely help, improving outcomes and reducing acute care needs.
