First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests a smartphone app called Combine designed to help gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men in rural southern US get tested for HIV and STIs and start taking PrEP (a daily pill that prevents HIV). About 473 men will be randomly assigned to use the app alone or with added features like free home test kits or a motivational coaching call. Researchers will compare the groups over 24 months to see which approach works best.
