Inclusion Criteria: * Participants aged between 18 and 65 years who were diagnosed with periodontitis * Participants did not have any intellectual disabilities Exclusion Criteria: * Individuals with intellectual disability * Individuals with severe suicidal tendency * Individuals with dementia * Individuals with psychosis * Individuals receiving long-term corticosteroid therapy * Pregnant or lactating individuals Individuals who had received periodontal treatment within the past six months Individuals currently using antibiotics Individuals with uncontrolled systemic diseases
