First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether a mobile app (Peribrain) could classify gum disease (periodontitis) as accurately as traditional methods done by dentists. 122 patients with gum disease were evaluated using the app, a dental student, and an experienced clinician. The goal was to see if the app could simplify and speed up diagnosis.
