First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at two advanced genetic testing methods, mNGS and tNGS, to see which one is better at finding the germs that cause severe lung infections. About 80 people with serious lung infections will provide respiratory samples for both tests. The goal is to see which test detects more germs and gives clearer results, helping doctors diagnose and treat infections faster.
