First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at two advanced genetic testing methods, mNGS and tNGS, to see which one is better at finding the cause of severe lung infections. About 80 adults with serious pneumonia will provide respiratory samples for both tests. The goal is to see which test detects more germs and gives clearer results, helping doctors choose the right treatment faster.
