Summary
This study tested a new version of a common memory test (MMSE) that was adapted for elderly people in Reunion Island who cannot read or write. The goal was to see if the adapted test (MMS-Run) gives similar results to the standard test. 61 hospitalized older adults took both tests. The findings will help doctors better screen for dementia in this population.
