First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests whether an enhanced multivitamin (MMS Plus) taken during pregnancy and after birth can improve infant health and growth compared to standard supplements. About 3,000 pregnant women in Karachi, Pakistan, will be randomly assigned to receive either MMS Plus or standard MMS during pregnancy, and then re-randomized after birth to MMS Plus, standard MMS, or iron/folic acid. The goal is to reduce complications like preterm birth and poor growth in the first six months of life.
