Doctors test common childhood vaccine in transplant kids

NCT ID NCT07195032

Summary

This study is checking if the standard measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine is safe and works well for children who have had a heart transplant. These children take medications that weaken their immune system to prevent organ rejection, which can make vaccines less effective or riskier. Researchers will give the vaccine to 60 transplant patients aged 1 to 17 and monitor them for side effects and to see if they develop protective immunity.
