NCT ID NCT07463183
First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called MK-8690 for people with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis, a chronic gut condition causing inflammation and symptoms like diarrhea and bleeding. About 100 adults will receive either the drug or a placebo to see if it can bring about remission—meaning less inflammation and fewer symptoms—after 12 weeks. The goal is to find a new treatment option for those who haven't responded well to existing therapies.
