First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This early-stage study tested the safety of a new drug called opevesostat (MK-5684) in 7 Japanese men with a type of advanced prostate cancer that no longer responds to standard hormone therapy and chemotherapy. The goal was to see if the drug is safe and how it works in the body. While not a cure, it aims to control the disease in patients who have few options left.
