Summary
This study tested a supplement called MitoQ in 53 people with dilated cardiomyopathy, a condition where the heart is enlarged and weak. The goal was to see if reducing stress inside heart cells could improve the heart's energy use and pumping ability. Participants took MitoQ or a placebo for several months, and researchers used special scans to measure changes in heart function.
