This study looks at the long-term safety of a drug called mitapivat for adults with stable sickle cell disease. Participants, who must have benefited from the drug in a prior study, take mitapivat tablets twice daily for up to 48 weeks, with an option to continue for another 48 weeks. The goal is to see if the drug remains safe and tolerable over time while monitoring its effects on blood health, mobility, and quality of life.
