New mirror therapy boosts arm recovery after stroke
NCT ID NCT07426354
First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests a new type of mirror therapy for people who have had a stroke and have weakness on one side. The therapy adds extra sensations like touch or vibration to the usual mirror trick that makes the brain think the weak arm is moving. Researchers want to see if this helps improve arm function and brain activity more than standard mirror therapy.
