Blood marker may outshine scans for testicular cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07453082

First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study watches 100 people newly diagnosed with germ cell tumors (mostly testicular cancer) to see if a blood marker called miRNA371 can find active cancer cells that scans might miss. Researchers will collect blood samples and compare the marker's results with standard imaging. The goal is to learn if this marker can predict relapse or show hidden disease, but it does not test any new treatment.
