First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study looks at why some patients become very weak after being in the intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers will take blood and small muscle samples from 20 high-risk surgical patients to find chemical markers linked to this weakness. The goal is to better understand the problem, not to test a new treatment.
