Blood test ratio may forecast heart attack recovery, study finds

NCT ID NCT07076732

First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looked at 80 people who had a heart attack but no major blockages in their heart arteries (called MINOCA). Researchers checked if the ratio of white blood cells to a platelet marker in their blood could predict heart problems in the short term after leaving the hospital. The goal was to see if this simple test helps doctors know who needs closer follow-up, rather than predicting problems while still in the hospital.
