Key cancer trial tests less invasive surgery to fight ovarian tumors

Summary
This study compares two surgical approaches for advanced ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. After initial chemotherapy, patients are randomly assigned to receive either minimally invasive 'keyhole' surgery or traditional open surgery, followed by more chemotherapy. The main goal is to see if the less invasive approach controls the cancer as well as open surgery while potentially improving recovery and quality of life.
