New keyhole surgery could make dental implants easier for patients with bone loss

NCT ID NCT05237570

First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a new, less invasive way to rebuild bone in the upper jaw near the sinus, so people can get dental implants. The surgery uses a tiny cut between the teeth to lift the sinus lining and add bone graft material. The goal is to reduce pain and recovery time while still creating enough bone for a strong implant. The study will include 20 adults who need an upper molar removed and have a specific sinus shape.
