Less bleeding, faster healing? new hip surgery technique tested
NCT ID NCT01427036
Summary
This study compared two different surgical methods for fixing broken hips in people over 65. Researchers wanted to see if a newer, less invasive technique caused less bleeding during and after surgery than the standard method. They measured blood loss, hospital stay length, and recovery speed in 108 patients to determine which approach was better for patients.
