First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study compared two types of surgery for pancreatic, bile duct, and ampulla of Vater cancers: a less invasive (miniinvasive) approach and traditional open surgery. Researchers looked at 320 adults aged 21-75 to see which method caused fewer complications like infections or bleeding, and how long people stayed in the hospital. The goal was to find out if the less invasive surgery is safer and leads to a faster recovery.
