Mindfulness or CBT? study finds both help students beat insomnia

NCT ID NCT07180784

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looked at 57 university students with insomnia. It compared two programs: mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I). Both programs aimed to improve sleep and mental health. The researchers expected CBT-I to work faster, but thought MBSR would also be effective in the long run.
