New mindfulness therapy tested against gold standard for insomnia
NCT ID NCT05555108
Summary
This study tested whether a new therapy focused on mindfulness and self-compassion could help people with chronic insomnia as effectively as the standard treatment (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, or CBT-I). Researchers enrolled 31 adults with chronic insomnia to compare the two approaches. The main goal was to see which therapy better reduced the severity of insomnia symptoms and improved sleep-related thoughts and quality of life.
