Summary

This study looked at whether mindfulness meditation can change brain metabolism and improve memory in students. Thirty female speech therapy students were split into two groups: one did mindfulness training, the other did muscle relaxation. Both groups had brain scans and memory tests before and after the 6-week program. The goal was to see if mindfulness affects brain chemicals linked to memory and learning.
