Summary
This study tested whether adding mindfulness training to standard residential treatment helps people with opioid addiction. Researchers compared two groups: one received standard treatment, and the other received standard treatment plus mindfulness classes. The goal was to see if the mindfulness group was better at staying on their medication and avoiding drug use for three months after leaving the treatment program.
