First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at whether nurse-led mindfulness sessions could help people on hemodialysis feel better emotionally and follow their treatment more closely. Eighty adults on dialysis were split into two groups: one received six weekly mindfulness sessions, and the other got standard care. The mindfulness group showed significant improvements in psychological well-being and adherence to dialysis, medications, fluid limits, and diet.
