First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding mindfulness practices to standard childbirth classes helps first-time pregnant women feel less fear and stress about giving birth, and more confident in their ability to handle labor. About 80 pregnant women between 28 and 38 weeks will be randomly assigned to either mindfulness-enhanced classes or regular classes. Researchers will measure changes in fear, stress, and self-confidence using questionnaires before and after the classes.
