First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding mindfulness practices to standard childbirth education can help first-time pregnant women feel less afraid and stressed about giving birth, and more confident in their ability to handle labor. About 80 pregnant women will be randomly assigned to either a mindfulness-enhanced class or a regular class. Researchers will measure fear, stress, and self-confidence before and after the classes to see if mindfulness makes a difference.
