First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach for depressed teens ages 13-18. It combines mindfulness meditation with real-time brain scans (fMRI) to help teens learn to control the brain circuits linked to repetitive negative thinking (rumination). The goal is to reduce depression symptoms by changing how the brain works. 90 participants will be recruited to see if this training is effective.
