Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone app delivering mindfulness exercises could help reduce anxiety and stress related to the COVID-19 pandemic. It enrolled 369 Black and Latino adults who reported significant anxiety. Participants were assigned to use one of two versions of the app or be in a waitlist group, and their anxiety, stress, and heart rate data were tracked over 12 weeks.
