Healing together: new program aims to ease trauma for cardiac arrest families
NCT ID NCT06517394
Summary
This small, completed pilot study tested a new 6-week mind-body program called 'Recovering Together' for cardiac arrest survivors and their primary caregivers. The goal was to see if the program was practical and acceptable for reducing emotional distress, anxiety, and trauma symptoms after a cardiac arrest. The program involved six 30-minute sessions delivered at the hospital or via video/phone, focusing on coping skills, mindfulness, and mutual support within the survivor-caregiver pair.
