New hope for tough depression: experimental drug milsaperidone tested in major trial

Summary
This study tests whether adding milsaperidone to current antidepressant treatment helps reduce depression symptoms in adults whose current medication isn't working well enough. About 500 people with major depressive disorder will receive either milsaperidone or a placebo (inactive pill) for several weeks. The main goal is to see if milsaperidone improves mood more than placebo, as measured by a standard depression rating scale.
