First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looked at whether applying milrinone or nitroglycerin directly onto the internal mammary artery (a key artery used in bypass surgery) could increase blood flow. Forty-six adults having planned heart bypass surgery took part. The goal was to measure any change in blood flow about 12 minutes after applying the medicine. The study aimed to gather knowledge about how these drugs affect artery flow during surgery.
