New hope for brain bleed patients: major trial tests drug to prevent Stroke-Like damage
NCT ID NCT04362527
Summary
This study tested if a drug called milrinone could help patients recover better after a serious brain bleed. It focused on a common and dangerous complication where blood vessels in the brain constrict, which can lead to stroke-like damage. The trial involved 370 patients who were randomly given either milrinone or a placebo to see if it improved their neurological recovery three months later.
