New migraine drug tested for fast pain relief

NCT ID NCT06728553

Summary

This study tested whether a medication called MTX101, taken under the tongue, could safely and effectively treat migraine headaches when they occur. Researchers compared MTX101 to a placebo in 78 adults with migraines to see if it reduced pain and the need for additional rescue medications. Participants used the treatment for two separate migraine attacks and tracked their symptoms in a diary.
