Massage education may empower pregnant women and reduce birth fear

NCT ID NCT07593326

First seen Jun 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether teaching first-time mothers how to do perineal massage during pregnancy can help them feel more in control, confident about a normal birth, and less afraid of childbirth. About 152 pregnant women in Turkey will either get this special education plus regular care, or just regular care. Researchers will measure changes in empowerment, self-belief, and fear levels to see if the education makes a difference.
