Summary
This study tested whether a single dose of the medication midazolam could reduce anxiety in patients before breast cancer surgery. Researchers compared 124 female patients who received either midazolam or a placebo (saltwater injection) before their procedure. The goal was to see if the medication improved patient anxiety levels on surgery day and overall satisfaction the day after surgery.
