First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study compares three ways to treat dark gum pigmentation: a scalpel, a laser, and a new method using microneedling with a plant extract called silymarin. About 30 healthy adults with dark gums will be treated and followed for up to 6 months. The goal is to see which method works best and causes the least pain.
