NCT ID NCT03291496
First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a new microfluidic device can predict sepsis in premature newborns using just a tiny drop of blood. Sepsis is a life-threatening infection that is much more common in preterm infants. The researchers will measure how well the babies' white blood cells move and function, which may help doctors spot sepsis earlier and improve care.
