Gentle electrical pulses tested for fibromyalgia relief
NCT ID NCT04949100
Summary
This study is exploring whether a gentle electrical therapy called microcurrent can help reduce pain and improve quality of life for people with fibromyalgia. Fifty participants will be randomly assigned to receive either real microcurrent therapy or a placebo (fake) treatment, which they will self-administer at home over two weeks. The main goal is to see if this therapy can be a helpful addition to standard pain management.
