ER nurses to check tiny blood vessels in sepsis patients to prevent worsening

NCT ID NCT06910891

First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether having nurses measure blood flow in tiny vessels (microcirculation) can help doctors start fluid treatment earlier for sepsis patients in the emergency room. About 556 adults with suspected sepsis will be enrolled. The goal is to see if this approach reduces complications like low blood pressure, need for life support, or death.
