Fecal transplant trial aims to fight 'Superbug' infections
NCT ID NCT06321536
Summary
This study is testing whether a therapy made from healthy donor stool, given as an enema or feeding tube, can safely reduce the amount of dangerous, drug-resistant bacteria in patients at long-term care facilities. The goal is to see if this 'microbiota therapy' works better than just monitoring the bacteria. About 60 patients who carry these bacteria will be randomly assigned to receive the therapy or just be observed.
