Gut bacteria clues could predict heart attack recovery
NCT ID NCT03439592
First seen Apr 25, 2026
Summary
This study looked at the gut bacteria of 200 people who had a heart attack, comparing those with high blood sugar to those with normal levels. Researchers collected stool samples before treatment and again at 6 and 12 months to see if changes in gut bacteria were linked to survival. The goal was to understand if gut bacteria play a role in recovery and future heart risks.
