Summary

This study looks at how gut bacteria change and help the remaining intestine work better after surgery in adults with short bowel syndrome. Researchers will follow 15 people for a year after they have a surgery to reconnect their intestine. The goal is to see if certain bacteria help the body absorb more nutrients.
