Yeast infection linked to endometriosis? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07576361
First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a common yeast, Candida albicans, in the vagina might play a role in developing endometriosis, a chronic condition that can cause pain and infertility. Researchers compared 48 women with and without endometriosis to see if the yeast was more common in those with the disease. The goal was to better understand what causes endometriosis, not to test a treatment.
