First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested if making small holes in the gum (micro-osteoperforations) can speed up moving a specific tooth during braces. 40 people aged 16-25 who needed two upper premolars removed took part. The researchers measured how fast the canine tooth moved and checked pain levels after 1, 3, and 7 days.
